SatsangSatsang means association with the Truth. Satsang is an opportunity for people to come together with a spiritual teacher to ask questions, inquire into spiritual matters, or simply rest in the silence of Being. Satsang is a profound transformative process that takes place at a subtle level, often outside the awareness of the conscious mind. Satsang is available at The Awakened Heart Center every Wednesday at 7 PM and the first and third Mondays of the month during the Monday Night Meditation program. Monday Night MeditationThe Monday Night Meditation (MNM) program is held on the first and third Mondays of each month. This program is for people deeply interested in the transformative power of meditation and in awakening to the truth of being and living this truth in their daily lives. Please enter and leave The Awakened Heart Center in silence. During satsang, you will have an opportunity to ask questions about meditation, spiritual life and awakening. Please ask questions based on your own experience rather than theoretical, philosophical or metaphysical questions. Please have your questions written down clearly and concisely. Leave them beside Tom’s cushion as you enter to meditate. After the first half-hour of meditation, Tom will read and comment upon the questions, and then there will be open discussion, if appropriate. MNM SchedulePlease enter silently. Read Tom's article: Natural (Sahaja) Meditation Yoga: Awakening the Life ForceHatha Yoga is an ancient and powerful psycho-physical spiritual practice that transforms the neuroendocrine system, balances the chakras, purifies the psychic channels, cultivates internal energy and strengthens the entire body/mind system so that it has the capacity to withstand the full awakening of the spiritual power, called Kundalini Shakti. Hatha Yoga also rejuvenates the body, limbers the spine, increases circulation, tones the internal organs and creates deep relaxation and a sense of well-being, thus improving the overall health and harmony of the body, mind and spirit. Tom has been teaching traditional Hatha/Kundalini Yoga for over 30 years. He was certified to teach Yoga by Swami Vishnu-devananda in 1971 and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher 500. Tom offers three Hatha Yoga classes a week. Please call for further information. | |||||
